The Mermaid II is a 32-meter motor yacht, another of the few steel hulled boats in Indonesia and among the most comfortable liveaboards in the country. She easily accommodates 16 guests in eight deluxe cabins for its cruises of eight days and seven nights. Like the Mermaid 1, she is a fast boat, meaning cruising time is reduced and more remote sites are easily within reach.
The attentive crew is always on hand to help you into and out of your equipment.
The Mermaid II operates in Komodo, Flores and Alor.
All deluxe cabins are on the main deck with large panoramic sea view windows. Each cabin has a double bed and single bed (with a maximum of two people per cabin), air-conditioning, and private en-suite bathrooms. For charters there are four extra spaces available below deck in two budget cabins with twin bunks, air-conditioning and shared bathroom.
The Mermaid II also has an air-conditioned lounge with TV / DVD, music centre, library and a full selection of marine life books, local and Western food and beverages, BBQs, a vegetarian menu upon request, PADI courses, camera battery charging stations (220v / 110v) and several laptop power points. There are two outside decks: a shade covered party deck has comfortable lounge chairs, while a sundeck located in front of the wheelhouse gets full sun and has a cushioned sun platform.
The vessel has a wide stern dive platform with two exit ladders and fresh water showers, four camera rinse tanks and a large camera table. The dive deck is huge with plenty of room to gear up, individual boxes for your dive gear and camera table. Nitrox and rental equipment are available onboard. All diving is done from tenders. |
