This beautiful liveaboard is stamped with all of those luxurious touches that make a dream trip reality. Cruising the seas of Papua New Guinea the Star Dancer is the "creme de la creme" of diving vacations. As you drift over pristine reefs, you can be sure that you will enjoy encounters that few other divers can boast of.

Star Dancer sleeps only 16 people, making this an exclusive boat to be on. Each of the cabins is fully equipped with ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, bathrobes, towels and hair dryer. Added to this are the signature touches of Dancer Fleet. Wake up to fresh coffee in your cabin, a warm towel after each dive and a full sit down dining experience. The chef cooks a wide range of international dishes with some local flavors to sample. Local beer, wine and other spirits are served up at the bar so you can relax with a sun downer at the end of each day.

The diving in and around Papua New Guinea is something special. With an enormous amount of bio diversity, there really is something for everyone to enjoy. Hammerhead and silver tip sharks top the larger end of the scale while nudibranch, sea horses and mandarin fish are some of the smallest inhabitants. Diving here is still undeveloped so you can enjoy isolation away from the crowds. There are over 350 types of corals and sponges that bejewel the sea bed. Speedy drifts or gentle shallow dives make for a varied itinerary. There is also the chance to go ashore on most trips so spend some times with the local tribes that define Papua New Guinea's unique identity.

Milne Bay Province takes in the land at the extreme eastern end of Papua New Guinea together with seven groups of islands. Milne Bay Province is blessed with a landscape of mountains, jungles, waterfalls, caves, hot springs, mud pools, and extinct volcanoes so visitors can enjoy a wide range of natural attractions in addition to some of the best diving available in Papua New Guinea.

The Driftwood Resort a few km from Alotau airport is the base for the Star Dancer. Guests are advised to stay at this resort if arriving before departure day. If you arrive at Alotau on departure day, transfer is provided from the airport to the resort.

The Star Dancer always departs always on a Tuesday for a 10 night cruise. Up to 5 dives a day are offered. Nitrox available.
