As the name Cousteau might suggest, the award-winning, five-star Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort is one of the most renowned vacation destinations in the South Pacific and is the only resort that employs a full-time marine biologist to help visitors appreciate the underwater world of Fiji.

Located on the island of Vanua Levu and built on 17 acres of a former coconut plantation, the 25 spacious bures overlook the peaceful waters of Savusavu Bay, known for its pristine coral reefs. Each bure is fitted with all modern amenities and private deck with garden or ocean views. To ensure that you really are ‘getting away from it all’ the bures have no telephones or televisions.

Cousteau’s is a family oriented resort catering to children of all ages with a specially designed Bula Camp that combines fun & learning. There are over 20 moored dive sites from 5 minutes to 1 hour away using the custom built dive vessel, "L'Adventure".

Known as the "Soft Coral Capital of the World," Fiji offers the largest variety of fish and coral anywhere in the world. Small reef dwellers and large ocean pelagics, like barracuda, tuna and sharks, swim among the colorful reefs near the resort. The dive sites are located to the south and west in the Koro Sea. For beginners, our expert dive staff will welcome and guide you into the underwater world. Expert divers can do their own thing while PADI certified courses and nitrox fills are provided for divers who are not that experienced just yet.
