A mere 25-minute drive from Manado’s Sam Ratulangi International Airport brings you to Cocotinos Manado, a boutique beach resort located within Wori Bay and in full view of Siladen Island and Manado Tua, a majestic dormant volcano across the Sulawesi Sea.
Cocotinos, on the beach of Kima Bajo Village, was designed to be simple and practical, with a contemporary tropical theme. There are 16 villas and 2 suites, making this an exclusive resort that can cater to the various requirements of guests.
Through the use of selected hardwoods, stone, and other ecologically friendly building materials sourced from the region, the resort blends seamlessly with the adjacent village and coconut grove. The villas are built as duplexes (2 rooms under 1 roof) and the Posi-Posi & Kano-Kano Suites are built on the upper floors of the two villas on the water’s edge.
A digital room is available for video and photography enthusiasts and also has charging facilities with 110V - 220V surge protected UPS supported outlets. Internet is available through WIFI, so you don’t have to wait until you get back to share your experiences with your friends and family. If you are travelling light there is also a computer available for viewing, editing and temporary storage of photos.
At Cocotinos Manado, you will enjoy fabulous diving. Bunaken National Marine Park, comprised of Bunaken, Manado Tua, Nain, Montehage, and Siladen islands, as well as a part of the North Sulawesi mainland, is home to one of the world's most beautiful marine environments. Most of the reefs here are rich and unspoilt, with pristine and abundant soft corals and fish life -- this is one of the most bio diverse regions in the world. Diving in and around Bunaken is mostly wall and drift diving, but also includes several beautiful coral slopes. Bunaken offers superb opportunities for macro and wide-angle photography, as well as underwater videography.
Whatever your fascination is, whether pelagic or macro, you will not be disappointed here. Not enough? A 90-minute drive will bring you to Lembeh Strait on the other side of North Sulawesi, the "capital" of muck diving in the world.
The Laleina Spa with an open-air and an air-conditioned treatment room is built under a 50 year old sea hibiscus tree, has a swimming pool and is an ideal place for fun, informal gatherings and relaxation.
Awesome diving, spectacular sunsets, delicious local and international cuisine, and a signature warm and personal service that is much talked about are what make Cocotinos Manado a dream destination. |
